Free Weekly Community Dinner

We’re excited to host a free weekly community dinner every Thursday from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.

We have some amazing chefs, great volunteers, occasional music and wonderful conversations.

Recently, someone asked, “is the dinner only for people who need food?”

Our pastor answered, “Well, I guess so! Doesn’t everyone need food?”

Frank (one of our chefs) busy preparing something delicious!

While we certainly want to provide a nutritious meal for anyone dealing with food scarcity, we also believe that we all need healthy, supportive relationships.

We are grateful to have some great partners at the Dale Turner YMCA, Shoreline Unitarian Universalist Church, Richmond Beach Congregational Church and Shoreline Covenant Church.

Check out Ronald Commons Cafe on Facebook or swing by this Thursday.

If you’d like to help make this happen, we would love to include you. We need volunteers every Thursday to help with food prep and serving (King County food handlers permit required.) We also need help with set up and clean up.

It helps us know how many volunteers we have each week. You can do that online here:

You don’t have to be affiliated with Ronald UMC or any of our partner churches. However, all volunteers must complete a background check with the Dale Turner YMCA.
Once you’ve completed the background check (and food handlers permit, if applicable), you can sign up here for a specific job for this Thursday or sometime in the future.
